Which part of the pivot project are you buying?

Pivot tower and span assembly

Complete pivot scope

Specify the covered area, center pivot span arrangement, available power and water connection. Ask whether the quoted package includes foundations, controls and installation.

Sprinkler drops on irrigation span

Sprinkler package

Record nozzle identification, spacing, mounting height and operating pressure. A replacement request needs the existing package details rather than a general sprinkler name.

Irrigation control enclosure at a pivot point

Control and support scope

Separate remote control, communication, commissioning and spare parts from the mechanical assembly. Confirm who will support the proposed configuration at the destination.

Water inlet and pressure gauge inspection

Make water conditions explicit

Put water source and quality, design flow in gpm or m3/h, and operating pressure in psi or bar on the same brief. State where measurements were taken. Pressure at a pump outlet is a different condition from pressure at the pivot inlet; leaving the location unstated can hide a major difference between proposals.

Compare the delivered scope

Request itemized equipment, packing, transport, destination charges and installation exclusions. Budget-friendly equipment may shift more assembly or maintenance work to the buyer. Premium controls may add functions your site cannot use without power or communication upgrades. Keep these alternatives on separate lines.

Procurement situations to work through

Illustrative planning examples, not customer testimonials or completed projects.

“The replacement sprinkler must match the existing package.”

Retrofit inquiry

Record nozzle codes, regulators and the original spacing schedule before accepting a substitute. The result is a defined compatibility question for the supplier, rather than an assumption based on appearance.

“The field is ready, but the water supply is still being assessed.”

New field installation

Flag the flow and pressure as unconfirmed. Request a conditional proposal and identify the measurements needed before selecting a configuration; a preliminary quote does not replace site design.

“We need a seasonal delivery plan with clear responsibilities.”

Distributor order

Separate shipment readiness, transit, assembly and commissioning dates. Ask for packing dimensions, spare-part lists and document requirements so the crop schedule does not become an unsupported delivery promise.

Bring your field brief to the quote comparison

Tell us the crop, coverage area, water conditions, required quantity and US destination. An optional budget helps frame trade-offs without requiring an existing supplier offer.
